Once again, COBA is extremely saddened to report the sudden passing of Active Duty Correction Officer Eddie Firth.
His Visitation and Funeral Service arrangements were posted in a previous email.
Most death notices (even those untimely) are for those members who have retired from Service. Active Duty deaths have a different connotation and can be much more traumatizing to all of us, since those Brothers and Sisters are still supposed to be with us in our daily routine, working hard to provide for our families and supporting each other.
As such, COBA and all Members/Retirees in a show of respect, should make that extra effort to attend not only the wake but the Funeral Service of that Active Duty Member who passed, in this case our Brother Officer Eddie Firth.
At this Saturday's Funeral Service, all COBA Members/Retirees are encouraged to attend and show support for the family of Active Duty Correction Officer Firth's family.
Active Duty Members are asked to assemble at the Church at 0915 hours, wearing a full Class A Uniform with hats and ties.
Once again the Mass Service is below.
I hope to see you all there.
