COBA TOY DRIVE TEAMS UP WITH KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS

EAST MEADOW - Nassau corrections officers showed some holiday spirit today by helping replace toys that were destroyed in a fire.Officers with the county's Correction Officers' Benevolent Association are collecting toys after the Knights of Columbus building in Long Beach went up in flames, along with the toys that were inside. The association holds its own annual toy drive, but decided to team up with the Knights of Columbus in the wake of the fire and Hurricane Sandy. Toys can be dropped off at the Nassau County Correctional Center, as well as the association's new office on East Meadow Avenue. The cutoff for donations is this Friday, December 21st at 4 p.m.
