Dear COBA Members/Retirees;

This afternoon, COBA proudly announced (via Twitter) our Endorsement of Anne Donnelly in her bid to become Nassau County's next District Attorney.

Anne is a very good and longtime friend of ours in Nassau Corrections. She served for over 30 years in the District Attorney's office as a career prosecutor and was the longtime liaison to the Nassau County Dept of Corrections. She prosecuted countless cases against inmates over the years involving Assaults on Staff, Contraband, Gang Activity and various other criminality committed by inmates within our walls.

There is no other choice for us in this very important race.

We have all seen what has gone on in our State over the past few years, with a complete lack of respect for Law and Order.

Bail Reform, Discovery Reform, HALT Legislation and numerous other pieces of legislation have made New York a much more dangerous place to live, work and raise our kids. Anne's opponent in the race for District Attorney is a Senator who not only supported that legislation, but actually wrote much of it, particularly Bail Reforms that emptied out Jails all over New York State.

In this all too important race, we urge you ALL to educate yourselves and get involved. Tell your friends and family that what happened in New York was done with the full involvement of Anne Donnelly's opponent in this race, Sen. Todd Kaminsky.
