Retired Correction Sergeant Thomas J. Saitta. Retired Sergeant Saitta was appointed to the Sheriff’s Department on January 25, 1985 and retired after serving the department for 27 years on December 27, 2012.

We ask you to keep the Saitta family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Retired Sergeant Saitta will be reposing at Towers Funeral Home Inc. on Wednesday January 8, 2025 located at 2681 Long Beach Road Oceanside, N.Y. 11572 from 7:00pm till 9:00pm. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday January 9, 2025 at 1045am at St. Raymond's Roman Catholic Church located at 110 Anchor Ave Oceanside, N.Y. 11572.
