It’s with deep regret COBA announces the untimely passing of Retired Correction Officer Kenneth D’Elia. Retired Correction Officer D'Elia was appointed to the Sheriffs Department on February 19, 1991 and retired on March 25, 2019 after 28 years of service. Kenneth was assigned to the Training academy from November 22,1999 until he retired in 2019. Kenneth D'Elia was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. We ask you to please keep Retired Officer D'Elia"s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.

Retired Correction Officer Kenneth D'Elia will be reposing on Thursday May 9th, 2024 at Francis P. DeVine Funeral Home, Inc. located at 293 South Street Oyster Bay, NY 11771 from 4:00pm-8:00pm. Funeral Mass will be held in his honor at 10:30am on Friday May 10th, 2024 at St. Gertrude's Roman Catholic Church located at 28 School St, Bayville, NY 11709. Private Cremation to follow.
