It is with sadness that COBA reports the untimely passing of our friend, Hempstead Town Councilman Christopher Carini. Councilman Carini was a dedicated public servant whose commitment to the communities he represented was unwavering. Before his time as an elected official, Chris was a decorated and proud veteran of law enforcement, serving for 22 years as a Police Officer in the New York City Police Department, MTA Police Department and Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Police Department. Chris was always a strong supporter of COBA and all of Law Enforcement. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this unimaginably difficult time.

Councilman Carini will be reposing on Saturday July 20, 2024, and Sunday July 21, 2024, at the Charles G Schmitt Funeral Home located at 3863 Merrick Road, Seaford N.Y. from 4:00pm-7:00pm.

Mass of a Christian Burial will be held on Monday July 22, 2024, at 9:30am at St William the Abbot Roman Catholic Church located at 2000 Jackson Ave Seaford NY 11783 with interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetary located at 2015 Wellwood Avenue Farmingdale, NY 11735.
